I love coming to this place for the wonderful home-made food, but also for the beautiful building. It is absolutely steeped in history and a really lovely place to eat.
On the menu, they offer traditional choices like steak and ale pie, but also some slightly more unusual choices such as rabbit stew and pigeon pie. They also serve a squirrel pie, which I am yet to be able to try!
They are very welcoming of children and provide a special children’s menu.
